SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia has again secured the title "Top Muslim-Friendly Destination of the Year 2024" in the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) survey. The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, personally received this award in Singapore on Thursday (6/2).
"This achievement presents a tremendous opportunity and potential for the halal industry to experience exponential growth, particularly as the global Muslim population continues to rise," Sandiaga stated.
According to the GMTI, Indonesia shares the top spot with Malaysia. Both countries are recognized for their commitment to developing Muslim-friendly tourism services. This dedication is evident in the widespread availability of halal food and readily accessible prayer facilities nationwide.
