SEAToday.com, Jakarta-American pop star Taylor Swift rejected a whopping 9 million US dollar offer to perform at a private event in the United Arab Emirates, equivalent to approximately 145 billion rupiah.
The news was revealed by rapper French Montana. Montana said he also received the same offer as Swift, but for a much smaller fee of $1 million. He previously uploaded a screenshot of a text message offering him the concert on his Instagram account (@frenchmontana) with the caption "Somebody just sent me a show offer. who y’all think the 9 million for lol". The post has since been deleted, according to Page Six on Saturday (4/13).
In an interview with VladTV, Montana confirmed that the singer who received the 9 million US dollar performance offer was Taylor Swift.
"They had a show offer for me and Taylor. She (gets paid) 9 million, I (get paid) 1 million," he said.
The reason Swift rejected the performance offer is still unknown.
