Qatari Mediation Reaches Agreement of Humanitarian Aid Delivery to Gaza

SEAToday.com, Gaza - Qatar’s Foreign Affairs Ministry on Tuesday (1/16) announced that an agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas to deliver medication and humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza in exchange for medicine delivered to the Israeli captives held in Gaza. The agreement was mediated by Qatar in cooperation with France.

The ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari said that the aid will leave from Doha, Qatar on Wednesday heading for El Arish, Egypt in preparation to be delivered to Gaza. The on ground delivery will be coordinated by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The deal came after more than 100 days of humanitarian crisis in Gaza which has killed more than 24,000 Palestinians.
