SEAToday, Rafah - Israeli military issued a call to evacuate parts of Rafah ahead of a "limited" operation, forcing Palestinians to leave the city on Monday (5/6).

The military seemed to be gearing up for their assault on Rafah as it issued evacuation orders to 100,000 people in parts of the city. Its social media post said it “encourages” residents in eastern Rafah to move to an area in al-Mawasi refugee camp, located by the Mediterranean west of Khan Younis. The military also said the calls had been issued through flyers, SMS messages, phone calls, and media broadcasts.

Following the orders, at least 12 people were reportedly killed in Israeli airstrikes on Rafah on Monday night. Attacks were reported in at least three separate locations.

Meanwhile, ceasefire talks are still ongoing as Hamas accepts the proposal to release all hostages. Netanyahu had rejected the deal, saying that it was "far from Israel's basic requirements", but negotiations would continue.
