Over 200,000 Residents Transfer Residency Out of Jakarta

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Head of the Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency, Budi Awaluddin, said on Thursday (5/23) that 213,831 residents who no longer live in Jakarta have moved their population registration to their current place of residence.

Additionally, 1,170 residents with the status of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and 42,000 other residents who have passed away have had their Population Identification Numbers (NIK) deactivated.

According to him, this initiative is an effort by the Jakarta Provincial Government to improve population data management. Budi also mentioned that the community is becoming increasingly aware of the program for structuring and managing population documents.
