SEAToday.com, Jakarta-On Thursday (1/18), as a form of solidarity for the Palestinians, Indonesia sent off another peace mission, carrying humanitarian aid through the Indonesian warship, or KRI Radjiman Wedyodiningrat 992.
This aid is a form of concern and solidarity by Indonesia for the civilian victims of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The Indonesian Navy has contributed to collecting and sending aid from all levels of society in Indonesia.
This aid will later be sent to the Port of Al Arish in Egypt, to then be distributed to victims in Gaza by authorities such as the Egyptian Red Crescent. The route to be taken is Jakarta-Belawan-Al Arish-Jeddah-Batam and return to Jakarta with a travel time of 52 days.
This marks the third humanitarian assistance Indonesia has sent to Gaza, where the previous 2 aid were sent by air.
It is known that the Indonesian Navy has been collecting aid materials from the Indonesian community for the civilian community in Gaza since early November 2023. The Indonesian government along with the Indonesian community will continue to support the civilians in Palestine as well as contribute to world peace. (MAUDEY/ANDRE)
