SEAToday.com, Jakarta - A touching moment took place after Indonesia's 1-0 victory against Vietnam in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium on Thursday (3/21).

Indonesian national team player Justin Hubner was seen raising a cloth with the image of his late friend, Noah Gesser, which was given to him by supporters at the GBK. Hubner was overcome with emotion and was comforted by Jay Idzes.

The late Noah Gesser was a close friend of Justin Hubner and Ivar Jenner. The three had previously expressed their desire to play for the Indonesian national team together. However, in 2021, Gesser was involved in a fatal accident that claimed the life of the player, who had previously played for Ajax U-17.

Hubner has now made it to the Indonesian national team, and his Instagram bio still reads, "Never forget you noah/Isay 🕊💫👑".
