SEAToday.com, East Java - Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Among Tani Central Market in Batu City, East Java on Thursday (12/14). In his remarks, he mentioned that this market is the largest traditional market in Indonesia.
The market, which stands on an area of 3.5 hectares, has three floors and can accommodate up to 2,700 kiosks and stalls. The market is also said to have a wet zone and a dry zone, as well as a zone for food and culinary.
Pasar Induk Among Tani Kota Batu was built since 2021 with a budget of IDR166 billion and has been in operation since October 2, 2023. President Jokowi hopes that this market can improve the welfare of traders in Batu City.
