SEAToday.com, Pennsylvania - Donald Trump's campaign said the former president is "fine" following an attempt at his life in his rally in Pennsylvania, Saturday (7/13).

Trump appeared to be the target of an assassination attempt as he spoke during his rally, said the law enforcement. He was speaking on the stage when suddenly a popping sound was heard and the former president put his right hand up to his right ear. More shots are heard following the first. The former president then quickly evacuated by the Secret Service Agents.

The officials said the shooter was engaged by members of the US Secret Service counterassault team and killed. Local prosecutor also stated at least one attendee was killed.

The Secret Service said in a statement that “the former President is safe". Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden said in remarks that “there’s no place in America for this type of violence".

Investigation is currently ongoing of the incident.
