SEAToday.com, New York - Actor Daniel Radcliffe won his first Tony Award, Sunday (6/16), for his role in Broadway production “Merrily We Roll Along” in which he plays Charley Kringas.

Radcliffe managed to score a win for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical in this 77th annual Tony Awards.  In his acceptance speech, he thanked his parents and wished a happy Father’s Day. He also thanked his partner Erin Darke, along with his son, saying that they are “the best that has ever happened” to him.

Musical “Merrily We Roll Along” also won another three awards along with Radcliffe’s. The show won Best Revival of a Musical and Best Orchestrations for Jonathan Tunick. Jonathan Groff who played Franklin Shepard also won the Best Performance by Leading Actor in a Musical.
