SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Arsul Sani officially became the new judge of the Constitutional Court (MK) on Thursday (1/18). He took his oath at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta in the presence of a number of officials and witnessed by President Joko Widodo.
Arsul Sani was elected as a Constitutional Court Judge based on the results of the eligibility test conducted by Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR), which was then ratified by a plenary session. Arsul Sani became a judge of the Constitutional Court based on the Presidential Decree No. 102/P of 2023 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Constitutional Judges proposed by DPR. He replaces Wahiduddin Adams who retires on January 17, 2024.
In addition to Arsul Sani, President Jokowi also inaugurated nine new members of the Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU), including M. Fanshurullah Asa, Aru Armando, Rhido Jusmadi, Gopprera Panggabean, Hilman Pujana, Moh Noor Rofieq, Mohammad Reza, Eugenia Mardanugraha, and Budi Joyo Santoso.
