SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Malang-based club Arema FC have been crowned champions of the 2024 Piala Presiden after defeating Borneo FC on Sunday (8/4). In addition to the trophy, the club, nicknamed “Singo Edan”, also received a cash prize of 5.25 billion rupiah.
This recognition is not only for Aremania, but also for the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy. Arema FC General Manager Yusrinal Fitriandi said they donated 13.5 percent of the total prize money or about 5 million rupiah to 135 families of the victims.
“We know that material cannot replace life, but we want to share this happiness with the families of the victims,” he said.
This title is expected to be a new era for Arema FC and continue to be the pride of Aremania and the residents of Malang Raya.
