SEAToday.com, Pennsylvania - The FBI has successfully identified the perpetrator in the shooting of Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. According to information released on its official website on Sunday (7/14), the perpetrator is a 20-year-old named Thomas Matthew Crooks.
He fired shots at Trump from the roof of a building outside of security until his presence was discovered by the Secret Service and he was shot dead.
FBI Pittsburgh Special Agent in charge Kevin Rojek said on Saturday (7/13) that the motive was still unknown. In addition, Crooks’ political affiliation cannot be confirmed.
However, based on reports from television station KDKA and records, he is registered as a Republican voter in Pennsylvania, but previously made a $15 donation to a group affiliated with the Democratic Party.
