SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Joko Anwar just announced on his Instagram account (@jokoanwar) that his latest series co-produced with Netflix, "Joko Anwar's Nightmares and Daydreams," will premiere on June 14.
Marking the first collaboration between Netflix and Joko Anwar, the series paves the way for a new genre in Indonesian cinema: sci-fi supernatural. Spanning seven episodes, "Joko Anwar's Nightmares and Daydreams" will take viewers on a journey through bizarre phenomena and unique stories in each episode, culminating in a grand revelation in the finale.
Joko Anwar himself will serve as both executive producer and director on the series, alongside Ray Pakpahan, Tommy Dewo, and Randolph Zaini. There are 65 actors who will star in the seven-episode series, including Ario Bayu, Marissa Anita, Asmara Abigail, and Nirina Zubir.
